Did You Know Dividends Represent 58% of the Stock Market Return?

Over the past 40 years, 58% of the stock market return was produced by dividends. Dividend stocks maintain a more stable value over time (meaning less stress for investors) while producing a constant cash flow that is more than sufficient to cover the inflation rate.

Most Importantly

I’m not a financial guru, but I do have extensive experience investing.

You won’t get stock recommendations but you will get stocks on my radar list.

You won’t learn how to make money on the stock market, but you will learn how to invest carefully.

You won’t become a tax expert, but you will understand the implication of holding Canadian dividend stocks in your different types of accounts.

Finally, you’ll get a series of quotations from Oscar Wild and a few other celebrities (because I find them funny)!

Why thru Kindle? Is there another way to buy it?

Hi Mike;
Just curious about your book…
I own every dividend book published since the late 1980s (might be an obsession). I’m not trying to be flippant, but what about your book is any different?
Also, for us non-Kindlers, is it available in a printed format?
Thanks, Mike.

@Jessie,

I’ve decided to start with Kindle but will releasing other format in the future. I just have to be with Amazon for 90 days.

@Shawn,

You have a pretty good question. Too often I’ve read books talking for hundreds of pages about theory but never apply it. I’ve concentrated this book in practical examples to simplified investors life. I’ve also took the time to read and answers each email I’ve received while requesting feedback for this book. I’ve made sure to answers those concerns since they are my readers concerns.

cheers,

Mike

It’s in Kindle format. Can my iPad read that format? Or will there be an iPad version released?

I seen you’ve answered Jessie about providing versions as a pdf ebook – but can you tell us when that is likely to happen, as I also use different ebook readers to kindle?
Thanks mate!

@Gord,

Yes your iPad will read it. You just need the Kindle application installed (I’m pretty sure it’s free!)

@Ian,

in exactly 90 days!

The Kindle App for a computer is indeed free. I started using it for the first time the other day to read a fitness book.

So an e-book from Amazon can be read almost as conveniently on a PC as a PDF file.

I bought the book yesterday and am very happy with it so far. The whole quadrant graphs section is really going to simplify my stock screening process.

I just thought I’d point out that you don’t need a kindle to read this book. I’m reading it in the kindle app for my ipod touch (which I actually like better than the kindle). The Kindle app for the iphone, ipad, ipod touch is free.

You can also read your kindle books in a web browser when you visit https://read.amazon.com/

Hi Mike,
As a died in the wool dividend growth investor, I have followed your blog for some time and will continue to do so. However, I question the value of Return on Equity as a meaningful metric in qualifying future investments. As your sophisticated readers are aware,the use of LT debt in the capitalization plan as opposed to equity reduces equity and therefore has the effect of spiking ROE. I prefer return on Enterprise Value where EV = Market Cap + Debt – Cash. –wj
