Dividend Money – Blog to Check Out

As you all know, there any many blogs out there that focus on similar topics. For example, dividend investing. One such blog I have been reading is Dividend Money, which has provided me with a consistent reminder of why I enjoy dividend investing. Based on his Feedburner subscribers, he has a pretty good following of people who love dividends.

The posts I have enjoyed the most are the ones where Tyler discusses the benefits of a rising dividend. For exemple, the post titled, Dividend Growth Example and How To Do Nothing And Get A Raise! discuss examples of how rising dividends can impact a portfolio and why I feel so passionate about dividends. His Bank of America example hits home as this is a main reason this stock is in my portfolio.

    Greetings,
Thank you for the link, it is much appreciated.
I think that a lot of younger investors take dividends for granted and don’t fully appreciate the power of compunding.
Have a great day and keep up the good work!

Hey Tyler – Wondered if you had read the Barron’s cover story on stingy dividend payouts that came out this week.

There’s a graf or two of it on their website, but it’s subscription based to get the whole thing. They make compelling arguements for the value of dividends (even in relation to buybacks), but only give the same old reasons for why companies are not raising their payouts at the old historical level.

At least it’s a high-profile cover article in the investment community calling on companies to step up the payouts.
