I am in The Globe and Mail

Yesterday, I was lucky enough to appear in the Globe and Mail. Unfortunately, my site was never mentioned but that is me nonetheless. To see the article, please click here:

It was fun to do this and I appreciated Tony Martin interviewing me for the piece. He is a really nice guy and it was a pleasure to chat with him.

I concur that your blog really deserved a mention in there. It’s still nice to have someone take notice though. Congratulations and keep up the good work!

    Jeremy,

Congratulations on the mainstream media coverage. I liked many of the points you made in the article.

As to getting your website mentioned, one thing I do is write Letters to the Editor of major publications and include my website URL in my signature to the letter. This has worked for me in getting my URL posted in The Financial Times twice. See:

    AND

In short, try writing Letters to the Editor or Op-Ed pieces and always, always, always include your URL in your signature.

When the Globe and Mail interviewe me a few months ago for the same section, I just asked the interviewer to include my blog name in the article. She was not sure if they could do that or not, but it did appear so they must have been ok with it. The mention in the G&M sure helped my site traffic as well…..

nice article. I like your stocks. I love dividend paying stocks for a long term holding.

HD is a pain and operationally is not as good as LOW, see my analysis here: http://myvalueidea.blogspot.com/2007/11/business-operation-excellence-headto.html

but with activist shareholders on board it will yield a turnaround.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Not sure why the site was not included, but not much I can do about it now.

Sami – thanks for your analysis on LOW. It was quite apparent the differences between the two companies. I am going to look closer at LOW in the future.
