Vanguard to Offer Dividend Fund
According to this link Vanguard is going to be offering a fund focused on dividend achievers – what their definition is for this I cannot tell, but I am assuming it is based on S&P’s Dividend Achiever’s Index. A good thing for those of you who do not want to research individual stocks and want a low cost alternative for your dividend investing.
EDIT: As per the comment I received from ‘king’, the fund will actually track to Mergent’s Dividend Acheiver Index, found here.
Thanks king!!

The fund’s target benchmark will be the Mergent Dividend Achievers Select Index, a subset of the Mergent Dividend Achievers Index, which is a market-capitalization weighted index of approximately 300 stocks with a consistent history of increasing dividends.
