Weekly Dividend Investing Roundup – January 11, 2008

Weekly Roundup

Welcome to the January 11th edition of the Weekly Dividend Investing Roundup. This is a weekly look at some of the articles that I found very interesting – some are directly related to dividend investing and some are not. In these posts I also list the Carnivals that I participated in.

Carnivals

Mrs. Micah did a great job hosting this week’s Carnival of Personal Finance. My article kicking off a series of psots, Day 1: The Dividend Key – Reinvested Dividends, was included.

InvestorBlog hosted the Carnival of Making Real Money #7, which included my post on Understanding The Investor Life Cycle.

The Carnival of Financial Planning hosted by The Skilled Investor also included my article on Understanding The Investor Life Cycle.

The Articles

GenerationXFinance had a very interesting and timely post about the current volatility we are dealing with in the markets can lead investors to making bad decisions. Emotions are an investor’s worst enemy.

As I have been involved in bringing my international equity to my target asset allocation, there was a good article at Nesteggr briefly examining the international vs. U.S. market performance.

Want a quick primer on investing in dividend reinvestment plans? Then this page covers pretty much covers the process in an easy to read flow chart.

I always enjoy posts about retrospection and decisions that are made with respect to stock analysis. Dividends4Life has an interesting examination about his recent look at Citigroup and General Electric, two stocks I hold in my own dividend portfolio.

The Dividend Investing Blog has posted an Excel tool to help download dividend data on stocks – very handy.

Thanks to you all for reading. As always please use the Contact Me link in the header to send me comments or questions. As well, if you want to ensure you are always up-to-date with my posts, please ensure you subscribe to my feed.
