First off, a thank you to all my readers who consistently check out this blog. Your comments and emails are greatly appreciated. This was a real active week in the blog world, and there are a ton of good articles in the Other Articles section – please ensure you check them out.
The Carnivals
Carnival of Personal Finance at Plonkee Money – Choosing Fixed Income Assets to Meet my Target Allocation.
Carnival of Everything Finance at Everything Finance – Day 3: The Dividend Key – High Dividend Stocks.
Festival of Stocks at Investment Quest – Dividend Stock Wednesday: Pfizer (PFE)
Other Articles
Accumulating Money has secrets that helped the rich get rich.
The Curious Investor finished the review of his investment strategies – something akin to what I am doing in my process series here at The Dividend Guy.
Michael Sivy at Money Magazine wrote about the Fed intervention in these crazy markets.
JLP at AllFinancialMatters talked about Reducing Your Portfolio’s Volatility. How timely considering the week we are having.
Are dividend funds ready for a comeback? The Wall Street Journal asked that very question.
If you trade frequently, you burn up money in more ways than one. Financial Blogger presents 4 Trading Money Eaters.
Single Mom and Money wrote an excellent post on going against the grain in her personal finance, and they all worked for her. The key in my opinion is the discipline, and not necessarily how you get there.
Dividend4Life had a look at one of the stocks I hold in my portfolio and my favorite soft drink – Coke (Diet of course).
I love stories about regular people making regular, or below average money, becoming millionaires. Consumerism Commentary wrote about one of these situations.
There are millions of investing quotes out there – this list from Chris Perruna provides some from famous author Jesse Livermore.
I love passive income as well and when bloggers write about theirs. Sun provided a summary of his 2007 passive income. Sun also provided a list of 12 money mistakes that could cost you $1,000,000.
To me leveraged investing is only appropriate in the right circumstances. Million Dollar Journey provided a good take on it.
Four Pillars asked an awesome question – Do You Really “Earn” Your Investment Income.
There is a lot of talk in the investment world about Target Date retirement funds. My own company just added them as an option in our pension plan. My Two Dollars explains some of the pros and cons of these funds.
Wow – that was a lot of articles. Thanks again for reading and see you tomorrow.

I like your site and your weekly round up; maybe you’ll get a chance to take a peek at my new blog (no products/scams/schemes … just good old-fashioned free advice!)? Good luck! AJC.
