Weekly Dividend Investing Roundup – May 3, 2008

Weekly Roundup

This was a good week for me as I received the pension plan contribution and employee stock purchase matches on my recent salary increase and bonus. It always feels good to get this additional money. My plan, as has been for awhile now, is to deploy these funds to get closer to my target asset allocation. This may mean some dividend stock purchases as well – I will let you know what I decide to do it when it happens.

Before I get into the Roundup, I want to thank Smarty over at Growing Money. He ran a recent stock market challenge and asked participants to pick a stock that would perform well in April. My pick was Citigroup as the mood at the beginning of April was very doom and gloom and I thought we might see a bump. Turns out I was right and won, however it was due to the fact that one of the participants did not meet all the entry requirements.

However, the purpose of this post is to provide some high-quality links to various resources across the web that focus on the investment process, including dividend investing. As usual, I will start with the Carnivals I participated in and then move on to blog posts and articles.

The Carnivals

The Carnival of Everything Finance included my post on Returns of Growth Versus Value Stocks.

The Carnival of Personal Finance included my post on sector allocation.
