This was a usual week for me on many levels. I had a party on a Tuesday, worked only two days at work and went for the Montreal Canadiens opening game at the Bell Center… in a loge!… and I won a PK Subban jersey! In other words: life is good!
I’ve been quiet on my blog this week as I was working behind the scenes on a big stock report (39 pages of stuff!). This will be sent to my newsletter subscribers on Monday morning.
In the meantime, I’ve explained how I’m not selling my house but leaving for my RV trip next year anyway!
I was also interviewed by My Own Advisor in regards to my investing philosophy.
Dividend Diplomat Lanny is getting excited about Seagate Technology (STX). I made a huge return on STX a few years ago and sold it at $40 as the company lost the reason why I bought it in the first place: there are not many places to go for STX. The PC world is slowing down big time and I doubt it will ever come back (mind you, I still prefer using my PC than any other device I own). It will be tough for STX to generate growth in the future and the market saw it. Beware of the dividend value trap!
Div Hut is making a genius move by building a portfolio for his newborn. Imagine how big it will get by the time the kid will be able to manage it! Wow, congrats on this brilliant idea!
My Dividend Growth (Ryan) got married! Spending his honeymoon in Greece… as I just wrote at the beginning of this post: life is good!
Joe at Retire by 40 is another celebrating. His blog is now 5 years old! Psst! He is giving away a iWatch if you publish a comment!
Income Surfer makes a great list of 8 financial books. I read about half of the list, I need to buy the other 4!
Dividend Hustler writes his monthly post about appreciation. Take 2 minutes to read it and feel grateful about something in your life. Tyler is right; life is too precious to bother about what sucks!
And a Special Mention To…
Dividend Growth Investor who proves the world that patience, savings and sound investments leads to lots of benefits! He explains how he went from $0 to $15,000 in dividend income per year in only 8 years. You can learn a lot about his story in this article as he explains how he made it. This is very inspiring!
Enjoy your weekend!
